Fairview Manhattan Apartments is a 192-unit apartment complex located on a 7-acre parcel in the Town of Greenburgh, New York. Comprised of three highrise buildings, Fairview Manhattan is a family oriented property, with a tight knit and friendly community feel. The substantial rehabilitation of Fairview Manhattan Apartments by Marathon, guaranteed quality affordable housing in an area where it was greatly needed. Marathon worked closely with both Town and County officials to ensure the preservation of Fairview Manhattan was consistent with the Town’s Comprehensive Plan as well as the County’s Consolidated Plan, both of which stressed the need for affordable rental housing.
The scope of the renovation by Marathon included restoration of the building exterior including the roofing system, façade and balconies, new windows, replacing the mechanical systems to improve energy efficiency, refurbishing the corridors and common areas, and modernization of the elevators. Individual units received new appliances and new finishes, including cabinets, countertops, bathroom fixtures, wall covering, and flooring. Other renovation items included the installation of a new security system and fire alarm system.
